he Business Edge has a feature that enables you to move any full or partially un-allocated lines to a new Order instead of creating a Backorder. All of the information on the original Order will be duplicated on the newly created Order, quantities, prices and other Order information does not need to be edited unless you would like to update the dates. This can be done in two different areas in the system.

While Allocating an Order in the Allocate Inventory-Detail Lines screen there is the option F11 Move Unallocated Lines located on the right-hand side under Options as shown below.

Selecting Move Unallocated Lines to New Order will bring up a confirmation box asking if you would like to Move Remaining Values of Partial lines to the new Order. You may only want to move fully un-allocated lines, if that is the case you will answer No. The Business Edge will take you into the new Order that was created containing all of the lines that were moved.

In the newly created Order, you can choose to make any necessary changes.

When you are finished making changes to the new Order, clicking OK or pressing escape will bring you back to the original Order’s Allocate Detail Line screen. Now, only the allocated values appear. At this point, you can finish up printing and/or billing the original Order.

The Move Lines Not Allocated is also located in the menu below:

An Order that was Created from Move Lines Not Allocated Menu can be viewed in an Order Inquiry on the right-hand side under Basic Information, Order Created From as seen below
