There are multiple methods of filling Sales Order Requirements based on Purchase Order Receipts.

When you receive Purchase Orders, you have the ability to view Open Sales Order while receiving Purchase Orders. You can do this either by pressing a function key or automatically if you have the User Flag “Show Sales Orders in Receiving P.O.’s” set to Yes. If you use this method you will have to keep track of the Sales Order Numbers manually while receiving.

If you are using the Warehouse Management System (optional) you will be immediately prompted to Allocate any Sales Orders that are pending each time you receive a Part. The Warehouse Management System is designed to immediately process orders before putting the stock away. Once the orders were allocated, you would then put the left over stock away.

Some companies prefer to complete all of the receiving, and then fill Orders after viewing a report. The Order Fill Report by PO-Product is designed for this purpose. You will be prompted for the Range of Products you would like, the Receipt Dates, and the Purchase Order Numbers you would like to include. You might want to run this report after updating all of your receipts for the day, or perhaps for an individual Purchase Order.

This report is sorted by Product, and will show the receipt information, Date, PO#, Line #, Part Number, Description, Vendor and Quantity Received. Below each part any open Sales Orders will be listed. The Sales Order information includes the Order Number, Customer Number, Date Requested and Quantity.
