The Business Edge is known for having an abundance of information readily available at a User’s fingertips. Nothing displays that better than the tightly woven integration throughout the Inquires. For instance, Open Quotes for a Customer are generally sought out through reports such as this:

Order & Quote Entry System
Order Reports
Quote Reports
Quotes by Customers

However, that same information is available for immediate viewing by simply opening the Customer Inquiry.

In the above screen shot you can see that we have selected the Customer Open Orders to appear as an Optional Information Grid. In The Business Edge Quotes are considered a type of Order which is highlighted in the optional grid shown in the heart of the screenshot. At a quick glance you can see this Customer has a Quote for 2 items that was entered on 6/21/18.

The Inquiry Sequence, Order Types and Order Levels can be defaulted in User Flags – Order Entry and they can also be changed on the fly.

Based on the parameters selected on the screen above we will only display this Customer’s open Quotes in descending Order. We have chosen to include Orders (Quotes are considered a type of Order) and we set the level to include Quotes not Firm or RMA type Orders.

Below is the end result of the Inquiry being run to show only the Customer’s Quotes, with the most recent on the top. You can drill in on any document in the grid below by entering or clicking on the Order. This will provide full access to the entire Quote where you can view all of the lines or even output a copy if needed.

You can get to this same Order Inquiry under Options on the far right F9 Sales Orders.
