There is a new feature in The Business Edge that gives you the ability to duplicate an existing Vendor Request for Quote (RFQ). The Business Edge already has the ability to send one RFQ to multiple Vendors. This new feature will help if you would like to duplicate an old RFQ that might have a lot of notes and detail you don’t want to re-type. This is a time saver because it eliminates the need to reenter all of the information that has previously been entered in an existing RFQ,

This is found in the menu path below:

Purchase Order System
Vendor Request for Quote
System Duplicate RFQ

To duplicate an RFQ simply type in the RFQ number that you would like to duplicate. The default answer for the Duplicate this RFQ question at the bottom defaults to Yes.

Once you click ok or press escape you will be brought into your new RFQ, Enter & Edit RFQ detail lines. The system will automatically assign the RFQ the next sequential number.

At this point if you would like to make any changes you can highlight a detail line and press enter or double click, which will bring you into the line to make your changes. If you would like to add additional products to your RFQ you can select New Line on the right.

When you are finished, simply press escape or click ok which will bring you to the final screen of E&E RFQ.

There are several options on the right for viewing or making changes to the RFQ. When you select Ship Address it will take you to another screen where you can make address changes related to the RFQ. You can also choose Heading Information to change Vendors and make any changes to what was initially entered into the heading information screen.

Vendor Request for Quotes can be viewed in Vendor Inquiry – Additional Information, Product Inquiry – Availability & Activity, as well as in a Sales Order Detail Line – Inquiries.
