A Vendor Scorecard is an essential component of effective supplier relationship management. The Business Edge has a Vendor Scorecard report that will help you to measure the performance and consistency of your Vendors. The Vendor Scorecard Report is located via the path below:

Vendor Scorecard Report

One of the key performance criteria is a process to monitor the on-time delivery and accuracy of your Vendors. In order to do this, it is necessary to have a Vendor Scorecard. The Vendor Scorecard Report is your tool in viewing this information in The Business Edge. The report can be viewed for all vendors at once or by selecting a specific vendor. After selecting the desired beginning and ending date to sequence the report there are other options on the scorecard which are: Include removed and MRO Vendors, use only 1st receipt for PPO, Only include Vendors with Activity and Include Split PO Detail lines. These can all be answered Yes or No to include on the report. The Summary type can be set to Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly or No Summary as shown below.

The Vendor Scorecard report will show the number of Purchase Order lines that were received on time, the total number of Purchase Order lines submitted for each Vendor along with their respective percentages based on the time period selected for the report. The total number of Debit Memos and Problems (if you use The Business Edge’s optional Quality System) are displayed as well.

On-time delivery is calculated by comparing the Original Promise Date on the PO Detail Line to the Receipt Date. There is also a flag in the Vendor Master file used in this calculation – Grace for On-time delivery. Unless this is set to zero, the system will add this number of days to the Original promise date. Some companies set this to 3 so that PO’s received on a Friday that are not received in the system until Monday are not marked as late.

If you would like to see detail on Received PO Lines, Received PPOs, Debit Memos or Problem Documents you can double click on any of the options on the right-hand side when you choose a specific Vendor as seen below.

If any of the information does not look correct, you can highlight the detail line in question and Set to Calculated, Set as Late or Set as On Time. This option is based on User Permissions.

The column containing Total Number of Problems can be expounded on as well. If you would like to review any of the Problems you can double click on the Vendor for review. The Problem Documents option on the right-hand side will show you a list of the Problems Associated with the Vendor.

The Problem Documents screen will show all of the Problem Documents associated to the selected Vendor in a list. Every Problem Document listed can be reviewed in detail by double clicking on it from the screen shown below.

The detail for the Problem Documents is shown in a Problem Document Inquiry and depending on the Individual User permissions Users are able to Review or Close the Problem Document from the Screen below.

The Optional Columns on the Vendor Scorecard report are shown below:

Also available on the Vendor Scorecard report on the right-hand side there is an option to view the Scorecard summary. This is where you will see the results for the summary type you selected on the report parameter page. The Vendor Scorecard Summary shows totals for the time period selected in the optional columns such as PO on time, PO lines, PPO on time, PPO received, number of Debit Memos, number of problems and percentage of problems.

If you would like to see specific details on a Vendor such as PO lines The Vendor Scorecard allows you to drill into each vendor displayed. When drilling into a Vendor you will be taken to the screen below showing Vendor Scorecard Detail. The options on the right-hand side will allow you to see received PO, PPO, Debit Memos and Problem Documents for the selected vendor. If you would like to see more information about a specific Vendor you can also access the Vendor Inquiry from the Vendor Scorecard-Detail screen.
