The Business Edge has a new feature “Create Invoices from Expedited List”. This feature was created to help you quickly and efficiently create customer invoices in a batch format. In order to use this feature, you must first change the system flag to allow you to do so. The system flag is located below:

Utilities System Administrator System
System Set Up
Miscellaneous Setup
Enter & Edit Entity Flags
Accounts Receivable Flags Page 4,
Enable Create I in Expedited List?

Now, you can allocate and ship your orders throughout the day. When you are ready to Create Invoices for orders that have been allocated you can do so as batch in the menu below:

Accounts Receivable System
A/R Invoice Routines
Create Invoices from Expedited List

The first screen presented will ask you if you are ready to Create Invoices from Expedited Listed.

When you answer Yes to this question you will see the screen below with a list of the orders that have been allocated and a Packing List has been printed. On this screen, you can select to Include or Remove Orders from the list on the right-hand side under options. The Orders with the green check mark next to it are the orders that will be included. By default, all allocated Orders are included.

If you need to add Freight, an invoice Message or change the Invoice Date you can enter or click on an invoice to proceed to the Create Invoice Screen. Once you do this the invoice is created and will be removed from the listing.

If you do not need to change the Invoice Date, add Freight or an Invoice Message the system will create the invoices with Today’s Date as the Invoice Date for all selected invoices.

Once you have selected the parameters for which you would like to run the report, press OK or escape to see a list of the documents that fit the parameters you selected. This list can be manipulated on the right-hand side under Options. The Options will allow you to include or not include the pick tickets to be printed as well as gives you the opportunity to highlight any document on the list and perform a document inquiry. If you would like to see order detail for a specific order on the list, the report will allow you to double click into the selected order and will take you to the order inquiry screen.

Click OK on the bottom right hand side of the screen and The Business Edge will ask you to confirm how many invoices will be created automatically without editing the invoice fields.

The Business Edge will then display the list of invoices that were created as a batch as shown below:

Now, the invoices are ready to be printed, faxed or emailed to your customers. You can do this through your usual procedure via Send Invoices in Process
