In The Business Edge it is easy to enter or edit Customer and or Vendor Alternate Part Numbers on the fly while in the detail line of an Order or Purchase Order. This timesaver eliminates the need to open a new tab for Enter & Edit Products or Add Alternate Products.
You can add an Alternate by selecting new line, it already knows the Product you are in. There is no limit to the number of Alternates any given Product can have. If you need to remove an existing Alternate you can click on it to delete it.
Below is where you will add the Alternate Part Number and choose either the Customer or Vendor to associate the product with.
If your system flags are set to automatically select the Alternate, it will populate in the detail line you are in and automatically be selected for the appropriate Customer or Vendor in the future.
The ability to add Alternates on the fly is set within the Security Level and can be accessed through the path below. Please note that security level flag changes affect all Users assigned that Security Level.
