If you have certain products that tend to be very competitive as far as pricing there is a tool in The Business Edge in which you can enter your competitor’s pricing so that you have it handy when you are the phone talking to your Customer.
In order to use this function, you must first enter the Competitive Pricing in Enter and Edit Products on the right-hand side under Cost & Prices, Competitive Prices as seen below
That enables you to Enter a Vendor, a Quantity, a Price and a Comment. You can enter an unlimited number of Competitive Prices for any Product. If your competitor offers price breaks you could enter 2 lines, one for each quantity. If the Competitor is not a Vendor you use, select a miscellaneous Vendor and in the comment field you can add the Vendor name
When you are talking to your Customer and you are in a Sales Order Detail Line you can view the Competitor Pricing by pressing the F2 Function key located in Prices under Additional Information/Options
This will show any competitor pricing that you have added in and shows the last time the Product was quoted to your Customer and if the Product has ever been purchased by the Customer.
