Each User can set up their User Flags for the Product Inquiry differently. The Product Inquiry can be viewed as a General Inquiry or Sales Oriented Inquiry. Each User can have a different version of this Inquiry in different parts of the system. In Order Entry you may want to know quickly what you are selling the Product to other people for. In that event you would select the Sales Oriented Inquiry for your Product Inquiry Order Entry Style.
On the other hand when you are doing a general product inquiry or inquiring from the Inventory System you may prefer to go directly into the General Inquiry Style. If this is the case you would select the General Inquiry for your Product Inquiry Style.
The general product inquiry shows the standard product information first, giving you basic quantity status information. You can then use the function keys to view the general inquiry.
The Sales Oriented Inquiry first brings up a screen with your most recent sales. This is helpful if you are doing a lot of quoting and want to instantly see what you have been getting for this product. You can then easily go into the general inquiry by pressing a function key.
You can specify your preference in User Flags – Inventory System. You can get to the User Flags by pressing F1: Help F4: User Flags 5: Inventory User Flags.
