In The Business Edge clients use the Transfer System to move inventory from one Branch to another. In order to use the Transfer System, you will need the Branch System enabled and all Active Branches must have an In-Transit Location. In-Transit Locations contain the inventory that is being sent on a transfer and is not available.
The first step is to set up your Branches, this is handled through communication with a Computer Insights Representative. Once a Branch is created, you are able to both edit the Branch and assign an In-Transit Location here:

Enter & Edit Branches
After selecting the Branch to edit, you will advance to screen 3 of 5 as seen below:
Only locations designated as In-Transit locations in Enter & Edit Locations can be used as the In-Transit Location.
After the Branch and In-Transit Location have been established, Transfers can be entered here under Documents on the Tool Bar or through the menu below:

Enter & Edit Transfer Ticket
Once the Heading Information for the Transfer is complete, the screen below is where the Detail Lines of the Transfer will be entered.
To add a product to the Transfer, press Enter or click New Line bringing you to the screen below.
Reservations for the selected product can be entered on the above screen by selecting the Reserve Lots Option located in the right-hand menu.
When all the Detail Lines have been entered for the Transfer, you are ready to output a pick ticket. Clients using the Wireless Warehouse will release the Transfer to the Queue here.
Depending on the flow of operations Labels can also be output at this point.
Now that a Transfer Ticket has been entered into the system and the inventory picked, the next step is to Send the Transfer. This will move the inventory from its current location into the In-Transit location of the From Branch.
The Transfer can be sent from Actions on the Tool bar or in the menu below:

Send Transfer Ticket
Once the Transfer Ticket is selected, you can proceed to Send the Detail Lines:
The Send Entire Transfer option from the right-hand menu will automatically send the entire quantity to transfer, assuming there is availability to do so. If there is more than one lot/location of any given detail line, The Business Edge will display a lot tracking screen where a specific lot of inventory will be committed to the transfer. If you reserved inventory when the transfer was entered, the system will send the lots that were reserved.
After the lots are allocated the next screen shows the inventory being moved to the In-Transit location of the From Branch:
****PLEASE NOTE IF DETAIL LINES ARE UN-SENT (AFTER SENDING) THE INVENTORY WILL REMAIN IN THE IN-TRANSIT LOCATION AND A PRODUCT MOVE IS REQUIRED TO PUT THE INVENTORY BACK IN IT’S ORIGINAL LOCATION*******
The final screen of Send Transfer is where a Packing List can be printed:
Depending on the flow of operations Labels can also be printed at this point.
The Final Step is to Receive the Transfer, this can be done under Actions on the Tool Bar or in the menu below:

Receive Transfer
The following screen is where the Transfer will be received.
The Receive Entire Transfer button on the right-hand side menu will Receive all Sent Transfers Lines. After the Transfer Lines are received the incoming product is moved from the In-Transit Location into the Default Receiving Location at the To Branch.
The moves can be seen in a Cardex Tracking Inquiry:.
