Before you start

You need:

  • An iPad (any model from the last 5 years works)

  • Your ConciergePad school login (the same one you use on the website)

  • The iPad connected to the school WiFi

Step 1: Sign in

Open the ConciergePad app on the iPad. You'll see the sign-in screen.

  • Type your username and password (the same ones you use on the ConciergePad website)

  • Tap Sign In

  • If you're signing in for the first time, the app will ask for camera and bluetooth permissions β€” say Allow to both. Conii needs the camera for face recognition and bluetooth for the badge printer.

Step 2: Pick the iPad name

After signing in, you'll see a list of "iPad names" for your school (like "Front Office," "Main Entrance," "Carpool Door," etc.).

Tap the one that matches where this iPad will live.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Pick carefully! The iPad name shows up in your check-in reports and notifications, so you'll always know which kiosk a visitor used.

Step 3: Tap the Conii button

Once signed in, you'll see your Welcome menu. Tap the Conii button (the friendly eyes icon).

That's it! You're now in Conii kiosk mode. The screen will switch to the big agent-eyes display and the kiosk is live.

How to know it worked

You should see:

  • ✨ Big animated eyes in the middle of the screen

  • 🟒 A small green dot near the printer button (means the printer is connected β€” we'll set that up next)

  • πŸ“· The eyes will follow you if you wave your face in front of the iPad

How to get out of Conii mode

If you ever need to go back to the regular ConciergePad app (to sign out, change settings, etc.):

  1. Tap the Settings button at the bottom of the Conii screen

  2. Type the admin passcode: Adm123

  3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out

That sends you back to the sign-in screen.

πŸ”’ The admin passcode is Adm123. Memorize it. Don't share it with visitors. You'll use it to reach Conii's settings any time you want to change something.
