Two ways to learn:

  • Launch the guided walkthrough below to follow along in real time.

  • Follow the written steps in this article at your own pace.

Guided Walkthrough:

STEP 1- Click Tracking in the left sidebar menu.

STEP 2- Click Demerit Master.

STEP 3- Click Behavior Rules.

STEP 4- Select the demerit code you just created from the dropdown.

STEP 5- The Print Label field is the name parents will see in notifications. This could be "5th tardy" or "Tardy Warning" or "Tardy", depending on your messaging.

STEP 6- The Frequency field sets which occurrence this rule applies to.

For example, if the frequency is 3, you're configuring what happens on the third offense. If it's 4, its the fourth, and so on.

STEP 7- The Trigger dropdown indicates whether an action will be taken when this action is logged, such as assigning a detention.

STEP 8- If yes, open the Trigger Code dropdown to choose the appropriate demerit type.

STEP 9- Click the Add Configuration to save the actions for this frequency count.

STEP 10-The Yes/No dropdowns control who receives a notification when a student reaches each threshold.

STEP 11- The message box can be used to supplement messages with information from your school's policies or Code of Conduct.
