Add a Reset Date for Behavior Rules

Learn how to update the Counting Since date for individual behavior tracks, allowing students to start fresh each grading period without changing all existing rules and consequences.

Two ways to learn:

  • Launch the guided walkthrough below to follow along in real time.

  • Follow the written steps in this article at your own pace.

Please note: Resetting a behavior track only resets the student's consequence progression, it does not erase their behavior history.

For example, if a student has received eight tardies this year, resetting the tardy track will bring them back to the first consequence for their next tardy. All eight previously recorded tardies will remain in their history and reports.

Guided Walkthrough:

STEP 1- Select Behavior Rules from the left menu.

2

STEP 2- Select the behavior track you want to reset to expand its rules.

3

STEP 3- Click Edit to open the details for one rule on the track.

4

STEP 4- Under Counting since (reset date), select the date you want the new counting period to begin.

5

STEP 5- Click Save Changes. The new reset date applies to every rule in this behavior track.

6

A confirmation message will appear, and the updated Counting since date will display next to the track name.
