Introduction

Depending on what type of iPad your school or business has, you may have to switch to a newer or older scanner mode on the iPad to scan Driver's License correctly. Here is a brief tutorial that illustrates how to go back and forth from one scanner mode to another.

The default Driver's License scanner mode is Micro - Back and is designed for older iPad models. If your iPad was purchased in 2020 or greater then you need to switch settings on your iPad.

Step 1

On the bottom right of the main menu of ConciergePad, please locate a gear icon and click on it to open up a passcode window pane.

Step 2

When you click on the gear icon you will notice a pop up window where you will be required to input a passcode. Put in the passcode: Adm123 like shown below.

Step 3

If the passcode is entered in correctly, you should see a settings page where you will be able to switch on or off different Driver's License scanner modes. Please switch on the ML - Back like shown below. Once you click on this option click on the Close button on the top left of the screen.

Step 4

Now click on the Checkin button on the ConciergePad menu and see if you can scan a U.S. Driver's License.
