When to Use AI Contract Reading

The most common application of the AI Contract Reading feature is to automatically process retailer and distributor contracts to create accurate promotions in Confido. This automation helps your sales team eliminate manual data entry, reduce errors, and maintain proper documentation for deduction validation and audit support.

How to Access and Upload Contracts

Uploading Contracts (options)

  1. Navigate to Trade > Promo Inbox and select "Upload Contracts"

  2. Navigate to Trade > Trade Calendar and select "From Contract" on the "New Promotion" drop-down

  3. Forward contracts via email to the centralized Confido inbox at promotioncontractforwarding@confidotech.awsapps.com

Review the promotion upload

  1. Choose whether to link the contract to an existing promotion or create a new promotion

  2. If creating new promotion:

    1. Review auto-extracted event description and planning group details

    2. Verify automatically populated start and end dates

    3. Confirm funding details (advertisement spend, scanback rates, etc.)

  3. The original contract document will be automatically attached to the promotion for future reference

Viewing and Managing Contract-Based Promotions

  1. Once created, view your promotions with attached contracts in the trade calendar

  2. Contract details are automatically populated but can be manually adjusted if needed

  3. Use the attached contract documentation for:

    • Deduction validation processes

    • Audit support and compliance

    • Dispute resolution with retail partners

Best Practices

  • Review auto-populated information before finalizing promotions to ensure accuracy

  • Use consistent naming conventions on promotions

  • Leverage attached contracts during deduction validation to improve accuracy and reduce disputes
