Step 1: Copy the Forecast

  1. Navigate to the Consumption page in Confido.

  2. Click the Copy button to open the copy settings menu.

Step 2: Configure the Copy Settings

In the menu that appears, review the following options before confirming:

  • Is Company Level Forecast — Make sure this option is enabled if you want the forecast to be available for all users. If left disabled, the forecast will only be visible to you.

  • Opportunities Copy Options - This provides flexible options as to how Opportunities should carry over into the new forecast. The options presented are:

    • Don't Copy - Do not bring any opportunities from previous forecast into the new version

    • Keep as Opportunities - Bring in the opportunities as they are presently in the existing forecast

    • Merge into Forecast - Confirm all opportunities and merge them into the primary forecast

Once you're satisfied with the settings, confirm the copy.

Step 3: Wait for the Copy to Complete

After initiating the copy, a progress bar will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This indicates the copy is in progress. Once the process is complete, the progress bar will display a checkmark.

Step 4: Set the New Version as Active

Setting a forecast as "Active" makes it the default version that loads for all users when they visit the forecast.

  1. Click the Versions button to open the versions panel.

  2. Locate the newly copied version in the list.

  3. Click the dot (•) to the left of the version name to select it.

  4. Click the Set Active button at the top of the panel to confirm.

All users will now see this version as the default when they open the forecast.

Step 5: Lock a Previous Version (Optional)

If you want to preserve the data in a prior version and prevent any further edits, you can lock it. This is useful for finalizing a period's forecast and ensuring historical data remains unchanged.

  1. In the Versions panel, click on the name of the previous version you want to lock.

  2. Click the Lock Forecast button at the top of the menu.

Once locked, all values in that version will be read-only and no adjustments can be made going forward.
