Planning Group Opportunities
Note: Planning Group Opportunities impact the consumption forecast (excluding Pipefills).
Opportunity Scope
Planning Group – The Planning Group associated with the opportunity (typically a retail account).
Products – The product(s) applicable to this opportunity.
Target Shelf Date – The date the selected products are expected to begin selling on-shelf at the retailer.
End Date (Optional) – The last day the product will be on-shelf. Use this for short-term or seasonal programs with a fixed end date. If left blank, Confido will assume the product continues to sell on-shelf going forward.
Opportunity Details
Likelihood – The estimated probability (%) that the opportunity will be realized.
Number of New Stores – The number of additional stores the product will sell in if the opportunity is won. If the product is currently in zero stores at the selected Planning Group, this will represent the total store count.
Expected Weekly Velocity – The anticipated sellable units sold per store, per week. This will pre-populate with the current forecasted velocity if the SKU is already in the Consumption Forecast for this Planning Group during the relevant time period.
Ramp Period (Optional) – Use this field if the expected velocity is anticipated to build gradually over time. Confido will linearly scale velocity up over the specified number of weeks until the full expected velocity is reached. For example, if the ramp period is 10 weeks and the expected velocity is 10 units/store/week, Week 1 will be 1 unit/store/week, Week 2 will be 2 units/store/week, and so on.
Pipefill Details (Optional)
Cases per SKU per Store: Input master Cases per SKU per Store (which will be multiplied by the number of New Stores indicated on Opportunity to calculate total volume)
Pipefill Date: Shipment date of pipefill volume (which will dictate period on the ship-to forecast that the pipefill volume will show up)
Note: Pipefills will only impact the Ship-To forecast. Pipefill volume will have no impact on the Consumption forecast.
Ship-To Opportunities
Note: Ship-To Opportunities impact the Ship-To forecast only and do not affect the consumption forecast.
Opportunity Scope
Shipments Span Multiple Weeks – When toggled off, the shipment will occur on a single specified date. When toggled on, shipments can be spread across a date range defined by a begin date and an end date.
Opportunity Details
Likelihood – The estimated probability (%) that the opportunity will be realized.
Units per Week – The number of sellable units expected to ship per week over the duration of the opportunity (or for the singular shipment date)
Ramp Period (Optional) – Use this field if the expected shipment velocity is anticipated to build gradually over time.
Shipper/Display Opportunities
Note: Shipper/Display Opportunities are only applicable if Shipper Products have been configured in Confido. Shipper incremental volume will show up as an additional line named "Shipper Lift" on the Consumption Forecast for the component sellable units contained in the Shipper.
Shipper Event
Planning Group – The Planning Group associated with the opportunity (typically a retail account).
Shipper Product – The specific Shipper Case Product (configured in the Products section of Confido) included in the opportunity. This is the case that contains the component sellable units.
Shipper Confirmed – When toggled on, the Shipper Opportunity will flow directly into the Consumption forecast, treating the shipper as 100% confirmed. If toggled off, a probability can be added for percentage likelihood of the event.
Number of Stores – The number of stores the shippers will be sent to.
Shippers per Store – The number of shippers that will be sent to each store.
Shipment Details
Shipment Date – The date the shippers are expected to ship out. This determines which period the shipments appear on the Ship-To forecast for the Shipper Case Product.
In-Store Details
In-Store Start/End Date – The dates the shippers will be active in stores. This drives which weeks in the Consumption forecast reflect Shipper lift impacts.
Lift Details
Shipper Fully Incremental – Indicates whether the shipper volume is entirely incremental to the base forecast. When toggled on, all shipper volume is added on top of the base consumption forecast. When toggled off, the user can specify a percentage of the shipper volume that is incremental, and Confido will net the remaining shipper volume out of the underlying component sellable unit's typical shippable case product on the Ship-To forecast.
