Troubleshooting: "This Record Already Exists" Error When Re-Pushing a Payment to NetSuite

If you delete a payment or credit memo in Confido and then try to re-push it to NetSuite, you may see the error "This record already exists."

This happens because deleting a payment or credit memo in Confido does not automatically delete the corresponding record in NetSuite. If a credit memo or payment with the same record number still exists there, NetSuite will reject the re-push as a duplicate.

How do I fix "This record already exists" when re-pushing a payment to NetSuite?

To re-push a payment from Confido to NetSuite without the "This record already exists" error:

  1. In NetSuite, find every record created by the original push of that payment, including the following:

    • Credit memos

    • Invoice payments (customer payments applied to invoices)

    • Journal entries (JEs)

  2. Delete those records directly in NetSuite.

  3. Re-push the payment from Confido.

After the re-push, Confido recreates the payment and its related records in NetSuite. If you still see "This record already exists," a record from the original push is still in NetSuite. Search NetSuite for the record number shown in the error, delete that record, and re-push again.

Can I delete a check in Confido to re-push it?

No. Re-push the existing check instead of deleting the check in Confido. Deleting a check in Confido removes the check from Cash Application.
