Manual Dispute Visibility & Getting Automated Status Updates

The difference between manually-filed disputes and automated status/response updates, and how to connect the email needed for the latter.

If you file a dispute manually (rather than through one of Confido's fully-automated Auto Dispute retailers), it will still appear in your Disputes dashboard right away. However, whether that dispute's status updates automatically depends on one additional setup step.

Why a manual dispute's status might not seem to update

For retailers and distributors where Confido monitors a supplier-dashboard email inbox to detect status changes (for example, UNFI short ship disputes), automated status/response updates only flow in once the correct email address is connected to Confido.

How to connect it

  1. Go to Integrations > Business Systems > Email in Confido.

  2. Connect the specific email address associated with your integrated supplier-dashboard account for that retailer/distributor (for example, the inbox tied to your UNFI Supplier Dashboard login).

  3. Once connected, Confido will begin picking up status and response updates for disputes tied to that retailer automatically.

If you file disputes manually and don't see this email connected, your disputes are still valid and visible in the dashboard — you (or Confido support) will just need to check status manually with the retailer until the email integration is set up.
