Troubleshooting: NetSuite JE Approval Rules Blocking Confido Postings

S
Written by Support

If your NetSuite account has a journal entry (JE) approval workflow configured, journal entries posted by the Confido integration may sit pending manual approval in NetSuite instead of posting immediately.

NetSuite's approval workflow doesn't distinguish between journal entries created by a person and those created by an integration — so a rule that requires approval for JEs will also apply to postings from the Confido Integration Role, unless it's specifically excluded.

Before Bypassing Approval

Consider these alternatives first:

  1. Post as an invoice instead of a journal entry, if that fits your accounting setup — this avoids the approval workflow entirely.

  2. Remove the approval rule if it isn't needed for automated integration postings.

To Bypass Approval for Confido Postings

If neither alternative works for your setup, update your NetSuite approval workflow so that transactions created by the Confido Integration Role are excluded from triggering the rule. Consult your NetSuite administrator if you're not sure how to configure this exclusion — the exact steps depend on how your approval workflow is set up.
