Much like Confluence pages, whiteboards provide you control over who has access to edit and view your whiteboards. You also can control what level of access someone receives. For example, you may want to share a whiteboard with a colleague but don’t want them to change your content. Whiteboard restrictions allow you to control for these scenarios.

Whiteboard restrictions aren’t available on the Free plan.

Setting whiteboard restrictions

By default, any whiteboard you create doesn’t have restrictions. To set restrictions on a whiteboard:

  1. Click the lock icon in the top navigation

  2. Select from the options in the drop-down

  3. Press Apply to have the selected restriction take affect

Note: If you select “Anyone in this space can view, only some can edit” or “Only specific people can view or edit”, you will then need to choose the specific users who you want to provide access to.
