You can edit the inventory of each product (or variant) one by one using the Shopify prodcut admin screen. But it is quite time consuming.
The bulk editor is a convenient place that allows you to edit the inventory quantity of multiple products (or variants) on one single screen for both Inventory Groups and Bundle and Sets.
On the Bulk Editor screen, update the available quantity for each product or variant in the group. Click Save when you are finished.

Click the Edit Inventory button. It will then take you to the Edit Group Detail screen.
The Bulk Editor will be opened on a separate browser window.
Click the Columns button on the Bulk Editor, and select the location at Quantities by location . In Bulk Editor screen, edit the inventory quantity of each product (or variant) inside the group. Click Save button when you're done.

Instead of updating the cell one by one, you can also copy and paste values using standard keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V) to speed up the process.
Update the new inventory to the first cell and select the 2nd cell.
Select the 1st cell again and press âCtrl + Câ on Windows or âCmd + Câ on Mac.
Scroll to the bottom. Press âShiftâ button and click the last cell. All the cell will then be selected.
Press âCtrl + Vâ on Windows or âCmd + Vâ on Mac. All the cell will be updated.
Click âSaveâ button on the right upper corner
