Update: As of September 2024, Custodian-Only users may now log into Beacon in READ-ONLY mode to view Cases they are associated with.
These users will only see what information is associated with their user account and they will not have edit rights to that information.
In Beacon it may be necessary to create custodians so you can transfer them inventory, but they are not users who will ever log into the system. Some of the reasons for this might be:
Warehouse custodies such as Quarantine, Inspection etc. where you want to have tighter control on the movement of inventory.
Field representatives or distributors who you want to manage activity for, but will not log into and use the system.
Discrepant custodian for inventory reconciliations
