Hide (disable) Functional Skills units from a user

Learn how you can hide/disable Functional Skills units from a user to control how many units appear and prioritize what units they work on.

Updated over 9 months ago

In our Functional Skills System, there are over 90 units available to assign and that users can complete. You might want to assign you user a lot of units but sometimes the user then might feel overwhelmed by seeing so many assignments or struggle to prioritize assignments since there are so many.

To help with this, you can use our "hide" feature to only have users be able to see some but not all of the units they've been assigned. As the user completes those units, then you can "unhide" more of the units that were originally assigned so they can then be able to see and complete those units also.

Select View Accounts.

Make sure you have Users selected for the account type.

Use the search feature to find the user. When found, click the user's name

Find Functional Skills in the list of assignments. Select Manage Assignment.

This will take you to the Functional Skills assignment screen. We have an option that will allow you to hide or show all units.

If you want to control individual assignments, click the + sign to expand the category that contains the assignment.

There is a button on each assignment called Hide or Unhide. Click the title to hide or unhide the assignment.
