Constitution Lending: First-time investor checklist

New to the platform? We have you covered!

Written by Abby Blumenfeld

Once you've created an account with us, there are a few extra steps to complete before you make your first investment 🎉

  1. Complete an Investment Account - In order to participate in offerings on our platform, investors will need to have created at least one investment account. Investors have the opportunity to invest as individuals, through an entity, or through an Individual Retirement Account. Be prepared to provide the following, among other additional requirements, in order to create an investment account on the platform:

    1. Identification documents, such as a driver's license or a passport.

    2. Tax Identification numbers for each account opened.

    3. Organizational evidence documents, where applicable.

    4. Power of Attorney documents, where applicable.

    5. W-9 Form for each account opened.

    6. Personal or business information, such as addresses and phone numbers.

    7. Personal information for a second account holder, where applicable.

    8. IRA custodian information, where applicable.

  2. Link a bank account - We strongly suggest setting up your wallet in order to streamline investing. Ensuring that your bank account is linked and your wallet is funded through Plaid. This is set up to allow for a secure investment experience when you are ready to begin investing.

Congratulations! You're on your way to building a diverse Portfolio, and participating as a member of the Constitution Lending investor community.
