To get started with creating your audit, you'll first need to navigate to the "My Audits" tab listed in the purple navigation toolbar at the top of the page. Once in the My Audits page, select the "New Audit" button and following the steps below:

NOTE: The My Audits section of the tool tracks the progress and success of your audit after you create it using the steps below. It also provides key details for all previous Recurring and One-Time audits, including: Last Run Date, Owner (who created the audit), Retailer, SKU count and more.

Step 1: Name your audit and Select the Retailer site

You can name it anything you like. But with freedom comes great responsibility so keep in mind that job names are visible - and filterable - to everyone you share your account with.

Tip: Try using keywords such as the retailer name, user name, category, or goal. Example: "Home Depot High Return Audit", "Woman's Apparel Fall 2021", or "Amazon 3rd Party content audit".

Select a site to audit

Click the name of the retailer you want to audit. Once you have Provided a Name and selected the retailer site, select the Next Step icon in the top-right of the page.
NOTE: You can only select a single Retailer Site per audit.

Note: Don't see a site you want? Go here to request one.

Step 2: Add your product list

To audit a page, we need to have a unique URL or ID so we know where that page resides and which page it is. Makes sense, right?

There are 2 types of Unique IDs (UID's): Page URLs and/or Retailer Product IDs

Often, retailers will have names for their product IDs. For example, Amazon's are ASIN, Walmart's are Tool ID's, Target's are TCIN's, etc.

For every retailer, we give you options on which UID you can provide. Regardless of which type of UID you have - just paste them in! In the example below, Amazon was selected in the previous step so it gives the user the option of providing URLs or the ASINS.

Once you have added the UID's, select the button to "Load SKUs". This will prompt a Review Upload to verify the UID for accuracy as well as check for duplicates.

IMPORTANT: Regardless of which type of UID you are providing - make sure the corresponding radio button is selected. Additionally, some retailer sites only support a full URL and not a UID such as ASIN in the Amazon.com example above.

Step 3: Select a frequency

First, choose whether you want to conduct a one-time audit or if you want it to run on a recurring schedule based on the plan you chose (One-time, Monthly, Weekly, or Daily). Next, choose whether you want to launch this new audit now or schedule it to launch at a future day/time.

Weekly vs Daily Auditing. A weekly audit is recommended for most companies who want to track content quality and accuracy, but also monitor unapproved content changes, pricing, and availability. If tracking pricing, availability, and keywords are critical to your business - then daily audits are recommended.

Step 4: Review, approve, and submit

Review the details of the audit in step 1 and click the checkbox if approved. If not, go back to make any edits. In step 2, by checking the box you are agreeing to the understanding of the legal ownership and usage of the returned content. Once all steps are completed and approved - click submit!

IMPORTANT. Content Status does not claim ownership of publicly available content that was returned in your audit and you agree to abide by all copyright laws and rules
