NOTE: This a feature available in accounts which have paid for them.

Progress Bars provide a clear, visual method for users to track the stages of Contracts, Contacts, and Organizations and the status of Requests*. Progress Bars may be added to grids (Contracts, Contacts, Organizations and Requests) and/or displayed in record detail pages. System Administrators can customize the Progress Bar percentages and colors for your system.

*Since Request Stage is always “Request”, progress is based on the Status instead.

How to customize color and percentage

  1. Select Lookups from the Application Settings menu.

  2. Select any of the following lookups: Contract Stages, Contact Stages, Organization Stages or Request Statuses.

  3. For each stage (e.g., “Draft”) enter a number between 0 and 100 in the Progress Bar Percentage column then select a color from the Progress Bar color picker.

  4. Click to save the Lookup.

NOTE: Records whose Status is Inactive, Canceled, Terminated or Expired display red Progress Bars.

How to add a Progress Bar to detail pages

  1. Select Type Manager from the Application Settings menu.

  2. Select the Object type and Record type to which you want to add the bar.

  3. Select “Progress” from the Fields list and drag it onto the layout. Adjust the width as desired.

  4. Click to save the layout.

How to View Progress Bars

Progress bars can be seen in grids, in detail pages and on the Watch List.

  1. Make sure that the Show Progress Bars toggle in User Preferences is ON.

  2. Open a grid (Contracts, Contacts, Organizations and/or Requests) and make sure that in the Columns list, the corresponding Progress column has been selected. NOTE: In Requests grids, you can display two Progress columns, one for the progress of the Request and one for the progress of the converted Contract, Contact or Organization.

  3. If Progress Bars have been added to record layouts, they will appear automatically on the layout when a user opens the record.
