Running into cancellations? Check out several tips below to help you minimize canceled appointments:
Maximize your calendar: The sooner the scheduled appointment date, the better - make sure appointments aren’t getting booked too far out by opening up your calendar to its fullest extent, increasing your maximum number of simultaneous appointments, and/or scaling back your service area.
The further out an appointment gets booked, the higher the cancellation rate - if there is sooner availability, try offering that to the homeowner to get them in more quickly while their project is top of mind!
Utilize calendar invites: Send out a calendar invite to customers to help them remember their appointment day and time!
Reschedule the appointment: We often find customers cancel simply because the originally preferred day and time doesn’t work - if someone calls to cancel, instead of just confirming the cancellation, see if you can reschedule and keep that opportunity!
