Facebook Custom Audiences

Creators can sync their Segments directly to Facebook with our Facebook Custom Audiences integration (Creator Pro only).

Updated over a week ago

As you may already know, you can include your Facebook Pixel on your Kit Landing Pages (click here for a guide on this).

With the Creator Pro plan, there’s also a direct integration with Facebook Custom Audiences.

How this will help you

This integration allows you to sync your Segments' subscribers with your Facebook custom audiences, such that adding (or removing) subscribers from the Segment will add (or remove) subscribers from the synced Facebook custom audience.

As a result, your ad sets will stay in sync with dynamic groups of subscribers.

This saves considerable time exporting and importing CSVs to run your Facebook ads.

How to set it up

Go to Apps under the Automate tab in the navigation. Then, look for the Facebook app, and click Install.

When you do this, you'll be asked for your consent to connect your Facebook Ads account with Kit. Click Authorize Kit to access Facebook to proceed.

A window will pop up, asking you to continue using your preferred Facebook account. Click Continue as [name] to proceed.

When you do this, you'll be asked to grant Kit permissions. Make sure to enable the Manage ads for ad accounts that you have access to toggle.

This will allow you to sync your Segments in Kit with your Facebook Custom Audiences:

Click Done. After that, you should see a message confirming that you've successfully connected your Facebook account to Kit.

Click OK, and you're done.

How to sync Facebook custom audiences to Kit Segments

Once you connect your Kit and Facebook accounts, you'll be able to sync your Kit Segments with your Facebook custom audiences.

You'll see this option when creating a new Segment or editing an existing one:

NOTE: The custom audiences you want to sync Segments to must first exist in Facebook. Create these custom audiences if they don't already exist.

Select the Facebook account, page, and custom audience to sync with the Segment, and then click Save.

From now on, Facebook will take subscribers within your designated Kit Segment and add (or remove) those subscribers from the Facebook custom audience synced to that Segment.

If a subscriber leaves the Segment, Kit will remove that subscriber from the audience.

Use cases

Here are some examples of how you might take advantage of this feature:

  • Target all your subscribers with ads for your most recent articles

  • Target those who are tagged as interested in a particular product, but haven’t yet purchased it

  • Run a continual lookalike audience for your best subscribers to attract more like them

Of course, this is not an exhaustive list! Overall, this feature will help you incorporate even more personalization into your marketing strategy.
