This guide will show you how to upgrade a site's signaling device, using Service Desk's Site Editor.

Users can upgrade legacy signaling devices to the latest tech, or update existing information with just a few clicks.

Accessing the Site Editor

The Site Editor is the main data hub for a site in CONXTD - housing the signaling information, address data, Pin Mapping and Enterprise Associations all in one easy to manage location.

To access the Editor, click on the name of the site you need to upgrade.

Once in the Site Editor, under the Site Details tab, click on the Edit button next to the padlock.

This unlocks the editing tools (so you don't accidentally make a change), enabling you to make key changes to the site's core information.

Signaling Types

Once the editor is unlocked, click on the Signaling Types dropdown. This will show our current list of compatible Signaling Providers.

Click on the new Signaling Type you wish to upgrade to.

Make sure to update the Site Reference and Transmitter Reference to the latest ID's provided by your Signaling Provider. A full list of the ID requirements can be found here.

When happy, click Submit at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

ARC Compatibility

The green tick and amber cross against every Signaling Type within the dropdown shows which providers your ARC are compatible with, or have integrated to with CONXTD.

If you are an ARC who requires integration help to one of our Signalling Providers, or an Installer who is requesting this from their ARC, please get in touch with the Team by starting a chat with us - the blue icon in the bottom-right hand side of the screen - or emailing support@conxtd.com.
