(HAFP) HAF Names Only Bulk Data Upload

If you use the HAFP Names Only register type, it's possible to bulk upload your participant's data after the session is over. The HAFP Names Only register type supports functions like manual data entry or data uploads, making it a versatile choice for managing participant data.

Locate your HAFP Names Only project and navigate to the Block you would like to upload the data to.

Click on the register icon to access the registers page. To ensure the data you are importing is in the correct format, you will need to export the empty register first. Make sure no columns are edited or removed so the spreadsheet can upload correctly.

If you do not need one of the columns any more, simply leave this blank. Make sure to use the drop down menus when filling in the spreadsheet as to not make any errors in formatting.

Once you have entered all the data into spreadsheet, you can upload it to the register using the Import button.

After uploading, check to confirm that all participant data has been entered correctly without errors. If any issues arise, ensure the spreadsheet aligns with the exported template.

If you want to duplicate a project, participant data will not be transferred over. If you would also like to copy the participant data, then simply export and import the register into the new project.

Troubleshooting Common Data Upload Issues

  1. Verify File Format: Ensure that the participant data spreadsheet complies with the correct format requirements, as errors in column names or structure often cause issues.

  2. Export Template: Use the exported register template to avoid formatting problems.

  3. Check Register Type: Confirm that the register type is set to 'HAFP Names Only', as that is required for upload functionality.

All of this data will be included in the HAF reports.
