Add a Court to the Platform

INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Create a new court that displays on the member portal and admin panel.

  • Use Cases: System users can create courts (or other types of facilities, such as a pool) for member and/or admin use. Each court record can be configured to meet the needs of club managers and members.

PREREQUISITES

A court type that can be used with this court.


SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Go to the side menu and click SETTINGS. A new page displays.

  3. Go to the COURT & BALL MACHINE SETTINGS heading.

  4. Click the Courts icon.

Creating a court

Click the Create Court button.

On the next page:

  1. Enter a unique name.

  2. Enter a short name for the court. (optional) If this field is filled, CourtReserve displays this name on the member portal instead of the text in the Name Your Court field.

  3. Click the Court type drop-down menu and select an option.

  4. Confirm the Is Visible checkbox. If the box is unchecked, this court is not visible on the member portal. The default setting is checked.

  5. Review the default open and close times (9 am to 9 pm) for each day of the week and customize as required.

  6. Optionally, use the Is Closed checkbox to close a court on one or more days.

  7. Add a combo court. (optional)

  8. Click Save changes.

Sorting the courts

Optionally, system users can change the display order of courts on the scheduler.

  • Click the Other Court Actions button and select Sort Courts.

  • Click a court row, drag it to a new location, and then click Save Changes.

FEATURE USAGE - USERS' PERSPECTIVE

CourtReserve displays court name information on the member portal scheduler. The scheduler displays:

  • the court name (or short name if the system user fills that field)

  • the court type (if the system user enables that option) below the name
