Post Information on the Member Portal

INTRODUCTION

  • Feature Summary: Display news on the member portal.

  • Use Cases: System users can publish any kind of announcement on the member portal. Optionally, systems users can post information that is visible only to logged-in members or all portal visitors.

SETUP REQUIREMENTS

  1. Log in to the admin dashboard.

  2. Click SETTINGS > ORGANIZATIONAL SETTINGS on the side menu.

  3. Click the Global Announcements icon. A new page displays.

Click the Create Global Announcement button.

The table on the Global Announcements page shows active messages that are visible on the member portal. It also shows past messages that are no longer displayed on the portal.

Creating an announcement

On the new page:

  1. Enter a unique name for the announcement.

  2. Click the calendar icons to set the start and end of the announcement's publishing period.

  3. Optionally, check the Include on Welcome Page box. If checked, the announcement displays when a member logs in. If not checked, the message only displays on the Announcements page.

Scroll down to the Content field. Write the announcement. Use the toolbar to style the text, insert images, or add links. Click Save.

FEATURE USAGE - USERS' PERSPECTIVE

If the system user enables the Welcome Page feature (see above), CourtReserve shows the new message as soon as a member logs in to their portal account.

  • A red dot tells the user this is a new message.

If the system user does not enable the Welcome Page feature, CourtReserve adds a red dot to the Announcement link in the navigation. When a member logs in and clicks the link, CourtReserve displays all announcements.
