Why this happens
Our software is distributed directly from Craftsman rather than through the Microsoft Store. Windows treats any installer it doesn't recognize with caution, so you may see a warning during download or when you run the file. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with the file — Windows just hasn't seen it enough times to recognize it yet.
You'll need to confirm the download twice: once in your browser, once in Windows.
Step 1 — Allow the download in your browser
Your browser may show that the .msi installer was blocked.
Chrome or Edge: Click the "..." to the right of the file name, then choose Keep.
Firefox: Click the arrow next to the blocked file and choose Allow download.
Step 2 — Confirm a second time
You'll get one more prompt. Click the down arrow next to Delete and choose Keep anyway.
Step 3 — Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded file. Windows SmartScreen will ask once more. Click More info, then Run anyway.
The installer will now open normally.
If you don't see a "Keep" option
Windows may have removed the file before you could allow it. Try this:
Open your Downloads folder and check whether the .msi file is there. If not, it was quarantined.
Download it again, and this time watch for the prompt right away — the option disappears after a few minutes.
If it keeps disappearing, you may have third-party antivirus (Norton, McAfee, Avast) doing this rather than Windows. Pause it briefly, download, then turn it back on.
Still blocked?
Some company-managed computers block all outside installers, and only your IT department can allow them. If you're on a work machine and none of the above works, that's likely why.
