When you purchase Contract Writer, or have reinstalled the program, it needs to be activated before you will be able to print a contract.

Here are a couple ways to activate the program.

  1. When you made your purchase you should have received two emails, an order receipt and a Contract Writer Activation Email. Follow the steps from the activation email and you should be ready to print! (If you did not receive that email, it may be in your junk or spam folder.)

  2. Can't find the email? When logged onto your account on the Craftsman Book Co website, go to Activation Codes from the menu the runs down the left side of your Account page.

You should see your activation code. You will need to copy the entire code that you see. It will look similar to this:

Once you have it copied open Contract Writer on you computer. Go to Help, Activate Software, you should see the code already pasted into the box. If you don't paste it here. Then select Activate. You will be asked if you want to update now or later. Go ahead and update now. You should be able to print!

Still aren't able to print, make sure you have the state you purchased is selected and the construction site address for the contract you are writing is in the state you have purchased.
