Index Window

In National Estimator Cloud, the index feature is an easy way to search for specific terms.

Open the index window

There are three ways to open the index window.

(1) From the menu bar icon:

(2) Under Main Menu > View Menu, click:

(3) Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+I

In the index window

  1. Type the term you are looking for.

  2. Click the right arrow or press Enter to begin the search.

  3. Click the search result of your choice to highlight that section in the costbook.

  4. To clear the search term, click:

Tips:

  • If you don’t find what you need in one costbook, you can simply open another. Just click:

  • A search of that costbook's index will begin automatically.

  • To create an audit trail for costs copied to an estimate, see Bookmarks.

  • Use the Contents Window to search the book's table of contents.

  • Use the Keyword Search Window to search for specific terms.

To scroll quickly through a costbook, click and drag the box in the slide bar at the right of your screen. As you drag the box up and down, a ‘thumbnail’ will appear identifying the page and content.
