This happens when the system Date and Time or Time Zone settings on a computer are incorrect. Because use of NEC is time-sensitive, bad date or time settings will break the NEC login process. To resolve this issue:
Set the system time zone to the actual location, and
Set the date and time to the correct date and time for that location.
Bad time settings may not be obvious. For example, suppose a computer in the Pacific time zone shows the time as 1 PM. That’s the correct local time. But the computer is set to the Eastern time zone where it’s actually 4 PM. Because the time zone is wrong, the time on the computer clock is wrong by 3 hours.
To correct date and time settings on your computer, search for “date and time system settings”. Then change both date and time settings to Automatic.
