Credentially allows you to divide staff members into different groups according to their roles. This happens in two ways:

  1. Invite preset. An administrator can choose the new staff member's role while inviting them. When the user clicks the signup link, the system will identify their role automatically and show proper onboarding.

To preset a staff member's role, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Credentially.

  2. Click the 'Staff' tab.

  3. Click the 'Add Staff Members' button.

  4. Complete the 'Add Staff Members' form. Select their role in the drop-down menu of the 'Personnel Type' line.

Note: You can add more than one staff member at a time by clicking the ‘+ Staff Member’ button.

5. Click 'Add Staff Members'. The user will receive an invitation email with a link to the suitable onboarding.

2. Change in a user's profile. If you assign the wrong role to the staff member, you can change it.

  1. Open the 'Staff' dashboard.

  2. Find a person whose role you'd like to change.

  3. Open their profile.

  4. Go to the 'Personal information' tab of their profile.

  5. Find the 'Personnel type' line and click the little arrow.

  6. You will see the drop-down menu with all the roles available. Pick the right one of those.

  7. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

Note: as soon as you change a user's role, their compliance requirements will change. Also, Credentially will assign them another onboarding (the one set up for their new role).
