How to add references for staff members?

Be ready to help your applicants/employees upload or request references

As you configured reference step at your organisation's onboarding, you can easily manage references for your staff members.  

Open the staff member profile and click on the 'References' tab. 



How to upload a reference as a file

Click the button 'Upload reference file'.
The system will ask you for additional information, but this information is not mandatory. So you can just click 'Upload file'.



When you upload the file, it will appear in the reference window with the status 'Awaiting approval'. The system will ask you to approve the file. Just click on the 'dot dot dot' as shown below in the necessary reference to review and approve an uploaded reference file.

How to request a reference from a referee

Your employee or applicant sent a reference request a month ago and has not got a reply yet? In this case, you can ask an applicant/employee to request a reference from somebody else, or you can do it for them.

Go to their profile and click 'Request new reference'.

You will see the form to fill out with a referee's email, full name, and phone number. These fields are mandatory to fill in.

If you wish, you can leave a note for a referee in the 'Note to Referee' line, and we will include it into the reference request.
