What is a strict mode?

Do you want to let employees who didn't finish onboarding leave it?

While setting up your onboarding process, pay attention to the Strict mode setting. You can find it under Onboarding Settings on the right side of the Onboarding tab.

When the Strict mode is disabled, an employee or a candidate can exit onboarding any moment they want. They simply need to click 'Back to dashboard' on the top left-hand side of the page.

When Strict mode is enabled, the 'Back to dashboard' button is not displayed inside of the onboarding. So employees can't open their profile until they complete all the steps. However, they still can log out of the organisation or contact the Credentially support team (the 'Need help?' button).

It's up to you whether to use Strict Mode or not. However, we noticed that some applicants get confused getting to the dashboard from the onboarding and don't know how to get back. If this is the case for your candidates, Strict mode may be useful.
