Frequently asked questions

Updated over a year ago
  • Can credit card processing fees be on-charged to my customers?
    Yes
When you setup your merchant account, you can decide whether to pass on processing fees to customers or not.

  • How long does it take for payments to settle to the bank account?
    2 days

This allows for fraud monitoring. Earlier settlement can be requested after a period of processing and review by the Payrix Risk and Underwriting team.

    No settlement on public holidays.

  • Can we settle to more than one bank account e.g. AU / NZ
    Yes

The customer needs to apply for two merchant accounts e.g. AU and NZ. When payments are made online, funds are settled to the bank account configured in each merchant account.

  • Can credit card payments be automatically created in my accounting or ERP software?
    Yes

Payments can automatically be created in Xero when invoices are paid via the Payment Portal. This is a built in feature.

For other accounting / ERP systems API access can be granted so the customer’s IT team can create an integration, so that payments are automatically created when invoices are paid via the Payment Portal.

Payrix can also be integrated with a number of other systems via Synder.

  • Can customers use the Payment Portal to pay their invoices via bank transfer?

    Not yet

We plan to add an option for customers to select direct debit as a payment option, instead of credit card. (This feature is being considered but is not planned as at July 2022)
