What to do if you get a 'forbidden' error when connecting MYOB ARL

Updated over a week ago

Use a my.MYOB account (recommended)

It's best to use or create a user that can sign in with a my.MYOB account and does not require company file sign-on.

Using a user that requires a company file sign-on

If you must use your MYOB Administrator login you will also need to enter the company file email and password when to connect your MYOB account.

Your company file username and password are NOT normally the same as your my.MYOB login details.

If you have not set a username or password for your Administrator account, try the following combinations sign-in to your company file:

  • Username: blank, Password: blank

  • Username: Administrator, Password: blank

Apart from that you need to have full permissions to authorise access to the company file. This is usually the case if you are the owner of the company file.
