Sequences are based on conditions and time, they are multi canals and multi senders.

Before you start: To learn how to build/create sequence templates, click here.

They are 3 ways of launching sequences:

1. Send a sequence from your CRM on a specific talent

In the talent profile, either click on the envelop in the action bar or on "Message" button on the Activities timeline:

Once the message tab open, click on the toggle "Sequence" to activate sequence mode:

You can either write your sequence from scratch or use sequence templates you've been writing before:

In order to know how to draft a sequence or a sequence template, please read this article.

If you want to use sequence templates, please hit "Select template" button and choose the template accordingly:

Finally, hit "Start sequence" button in order to launch the sequence:

The first step will be sent in the current day and next steps sendings will follow the delay you chose between each step. Every step is sent in the working hours (9am to 6pm) of the timezone you set in your Settings.

⚠️ Be careful with LinkedIn limitations and quotas, explanations here.

2. Send a sequence from your CRM on multiple talents at once

In a talent list (in the tab Talents or in a job), you can select multiple talents at once:

Then, you can click on "Email & Sequence" button:

Go in "Sequences" tab and choose the right template:

In order to know how to draft a sequence template, please read this article.

You can review that the variables are well replaced by navigating through sequences that will be sent to talents:

Finally, when you're ready, hit "Set X sequences" button in order to launch the sequence:

3. Send a sequence from our Chrome extension when navigating on LinkedIn

When navigating on LinkedIn and going to a talent profile that raises your interest, you can:

  • First, find talent's emails by clicking on "Search"

  • Then, add the talent to your CRM by clicking on "Add to CRM"

Once the talent added, you can go in the tab "Messages" on the chrome extension:

Then, you can click on "Send message" button:

You can either write your sequence from scratch or use sequence templates you've created before:

4. Be careful with LinkedIn limitations and quota

LinkedIn has limitations on its platform in order to protect users from spamming each other (sales, hiring, phishing, etc.).

That's why, when you get to those limitations or beyond, you risk to have temporary suspension of your account, or worse: definitive suspension of your LinkedIn account.

LinkedIn limitations:

  1. Visiting profiles: You can start automating 40 visits per day and then slowly increasing them by 10 until you reach 80 visits per day maximum.

  2. Sending invites: You can start sending 20 invites per day and increase them slowly by 5 until you reach 40 invites per day.

  3. Sending messages: You can start sending 40 LinkedIn messages per day (does not include Inmail) and slowly increasing them by 10 until you reach 80 messages per day.

At Crew, we do not want to forbid you to using our platform as you want but we took the decision to warn you in case you're reaching those limitations. When sending sequences including LinkedIn steps, you have a quota that increases at the bottom of the screen. In case you reach the daily limitations, we display a red warning to inform you to reschedule sequences/messages.

5. How to stop sequences

⚠️ You cannot start a sequence when a talent is already rejected. If you want to send a sequence to a rejected talent, you'll need to change them back to "in process", within the same job or in a new job, or by removing them from jobs (=adding them to the talent pool)

Sequences stop when:

  • a talent answers to your email(s)

  • a talent answers to a LinkedIn message and you have imported the answer from LinkedIn to Crew, i.e. synced the conversation (more about this here)

  • you reject a talent

  • you stop the sequence manually, by clicking on the 3 dots in the timeline of the talent > "Unroll sequence"
