Instructions for Google Chrome
For an optimal experience, we recommend the following steps prior to beginning your video interview.
Ensure you have the latest version of Google Chrome installed.
Set screen magnification level
Click the 3 vertical dots at the top right of the screen.
In the Zoom section, make sure magnification is set to 100%.
Clear browsing data
Click the 3 vertical dots again and select More tools, then Clear browsing data.
In the pop-up that appears, ensure the Time range field says All time.
Ensure all boxes are ticked (Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files, then click the Clear data.
Enable cookies and JavaScript
Click the 3 vertical dots and select Settings.
On the screen that appears, scroll down and select Advanced settings.
In the Privacy and security section, select Content settings.
Select Cookies and ensure the Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended) feature is turned on.
Select JavaScript and ensure the Allowed (recommended) feature is turned on.
Instructions for Mozilla Firefox
For an optimal experience, we recommend the following steps prior to beginning your assessments.
Ensure you have the latest version of Firefox installed.
Set screen magnification level
Click the Tools link at the top right of your browser. Check that the Zoom section is set at 100%.
Clear browsing data
Click the Tools link again and select Preferences.
Go to the Privacy and security tab and click the Clear History
In the Time range to clear pop-up, select Everything.
Click Clear Now.
Enable cookies
Scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section and ensure that Accept cookies and site data is selected.
Scroll down to the Permissions section. If Block pop-up windows is checked, you’ll need to click Allow.
If Block pop-up windows is unchecked, leave it as it is.
Close the Options box.
Instructions for Safari (Mac)
For an optimal experience, we recommend the following steps prior to beginning your assessments.
Ensure you have the latest version of Safari installed.
Before you start assessments, follow these instructions to check your screen magnification, clear your browsing history and allow pop-ups, cookies, and plug-ins.
Press Command – or Command + to adjust your screen resolution to 100%.
In System Preferences, click Advanced and select Show Develop menu in menu bar.
In Safari, click the Develop menu item and select Empty Caches.
Click the Safari menu item and select Preferences.
In the box that appears, click the Security tab.
In the Web content section, ensure that the following are checked:
Enable plug-ins
Enable JavaScript.
Ensure that Block pop-up windows is NOT checked.
In the Privacy tab, click Remove all website data.
In the box that appears, click Remove Now.
Still in the Privacy tab, make sure that Always is NOT selected for Block cookies.
Still in the Privacy tab, in the Accept cookies section, ensure that the Only from sites I visit option is selected.
In the same window, click Show Cookies.
In the box that appears, click Remove All, then click Remove All again in the pop-up window.
