How do I add the 'Donate' button?

Where on my project page can supporters donate to my campaign?

Updated over a month ago

On every project on Crowdfunder, the donation button will only appear once the project is live, so don't worry if you can't see it on your preview!

Once the project has launched, the donation functionality becomes fully operational, allowing supporters to contribute to your campaign.

Practical Alternatives

Although suggested donation amounts cannot be customised, you can use the following strategies to encourage supporters to donate specific amounts:

  1. Create Reward Tiers

    • Add rewards to your project at fixed price points such as £5, £10, or £20.

    • If preferred, you do not need to offer actual physical rewards. For example, these reward tiers can have simple titles like "Thank you for donating!".

    • By setting up rewards at your preferred price points, you offer supporters an easy route to contribute specific amounts while working within Crowdfunder's system constraints.

The amounts shown (£20, £40, £60, £100) are just suggestions. A supporter can pledge any amount from £1 and up. You cannot pledge pennies on Crowdfunder.co.uk though (e.g. £2.50), only amounts rounded to the nearest pound. We like to keep it simple!

Crowdfunder selects these suggested amounts to align with commonly contributing patterns, making it easier for potential supporters to choose.

Can I Customise the Suggested Donation Amounts for My Crowdfunder Project?

Crowdfunder's system automatically sets suggested donation amounts based on commonly selected values across projects. Unfortunately, it is not possible to customise these pre-set suggested amounts for individual projects. However, supporters can pledge any amount starting from £1, rounded to the nearest pound.

Please note - We cannot change the suggested donation amounts.

However, you can implement creative strategies such as setting up reward tiers to make your project more appealing to supporters.
