What do I need before I can start crowdfunding?

Updated over a week ago

Before you start crowdfunding on our platform, please check that you meet the following requirements:

You are 18 years of age or older.

If you are under the age of 18, you can launch a project in collaboration with an adult or guardian that meets all other requirements below. The adult will need to verify their identity, enter their bank account details and assume responsibility for fulfilment of the project (please refer to our terms of use).

You have a UK bank account that's registered to a UK address.

You have a government-issued photo ID.

This bank account must belong to the person whose ID you're using.

Please note that if you are creating a project on behalf of a registered legal entity, you must be affiliated with it in some way that can be proven. For example, you are employed by the business or organisation.

You will not be able to run Restricted Business projects or projects linked directly or indirectly with jurisdictions our third party payment provider has deemed high risk.

Please check our guidelines to make sure your idea is suitable for our platform.
