Will my project go live straight away?

Does Crowdfunder approve projects before they launch?

Updated over a month ago

You can launch your project on Crowdfunder as soon as it's ready! Once you’ve completed all the required sections, simply click the 'Go live now' button to publish your project.

Important: To ensure your project can go live successfully, please review the 'Prerequisites for Going Live' section below.

What Happens When You Go Live

After clicking 'Go live now', your project will typically go live straight away. However, in some cases, it may be flagged for manual review. This usually happens when our system detects certain wording that needs to be checked to ensure your project meets our guidelines.

If you're editing your project and are ready to set it live, you can find this page by clicking the 'Go live' button in the top right of your screen (shown below).

Common Reasons Why Your Project Hasn't Gone Live

If your project hasn’t gone live, even though you’ve filled in all the required details, here are the most common reasons:

1. The project has not been set live by the owner

Only the project owner can set the project live. To do this, the owner must:

  1. Log in using the email address associated with the project.

  2. Agree to the Terms & Conditions.

  3. Click 'Go live now'.

If you are not the owner, please ask them to complete these steps.

2. The project has been flagged for review

Sometimes projects are automatically flagged for review. If this happens:

  1. Our support team will manually review the project.

  2. They will approve it to go live, reject it, or request changes or clarification.

  3. You'll be notified of any actions needed via email.

If your project has been under review for more than two working days, please contact us at support@crowdfunder.co.uk.

3. Your project page is incomplete

Check if any required sections are incomplete. On the 'Go live' page, all completed sections will be marked with a green tick. If any are missing, follow the on-screen prompts to complete them. You can also see any outstanding actions under the 'Go live now' button.

Required completions may include:

  • Add a Project Image: Upload an image to represent your campaign.

  • Fill Out Basic Information: Provide campaign location and ensure all basic details are complete.

  • Set Your Crowdfunding Target: Specify the amount you aim to raise.

  • Add Rewards: Include incentives to encourage contributions.

  • Add your Financial details: Complete the Financials section by adding your personal and bank details, and uploading any required documentation.

4. Technical Issues or Incorrect Inputs

Occasionally, errors or missing information can prevent your project from going live. Double-check your inputs and make sure all steps have been followed. If you need help, our support team is here for you at support@crowdfunder.co.uk.

Additionally, ensure that you are using the latest version of your browser or the Crowdfunder app, and check for content compliance with Crowdfunder's guidelines.

Editing and Saving Drafts

You don’t need to launch your project right away. You can:

  • Edit and save your project as a draft for as long as you need.

  • Access the 'Go live' page by clicking the 'Go live' button in the top right corner of your screen.

We understand that launching your project can feel like a big moment — take your time and only go live when you’re ready.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@crowdfunder.co.uk.
