How do I report a project?

I want to complain about a project

Updated over a week ago

While we recognise that some projects may become the subject of public debate, if they're lawful and compliant with our guidelines, the crowd will ultimately decide whether or not they receive funding. You can read more about this here.

Our Crowdfunder community are brilliant at telling us when a project does not adhere to our guidelines. If you think a project needs to be reported, then please do so via the 'Report this project' button towards the bottom of the project page. This would be greatly appreciated as part of our official reporting procedure.

Through this reporting system, you will be asked to choose one of three reasons below and to add an explanation as to why you would like to report the project.

  • The project is promoting an illegal activity – For example, you have evidence that the project relates to illegal activity or a criminal investigation.

  • The project is potentially misleading – For example, you have evidence that the project is fraudulent.

  • The project owner is not who they state they are – For example, you have evidence that the project owner is involved in fraud.

Once you click the report project button, your report will be sent to the Crowdfunder team to review. We do not reply to individual project reports and we will only get in touch with you should we require further information.

If you are supporter and you have not received your reward, please take a look at this article on what to do next.
