Firstly, you will need to sign in to your Crowdfunder account or create a new account if you do not already have one.
Alternatively, if you do not wish to create a Crowdfunder account, you can pledge using our guest checkout option.
Once you've found a project that interests you, click the 'Donate' button on the project page.
Donation
Enter the custom amount you wish to donate in the box, or you can choose a preset amount from one of the buttons above:
REWARDS
Some projects also offer rewards in return for a minimum pledge. This could be anything from a book, a tour, lessons, a piece of art or a shout out. Our project owners are very inventive in offering great rewards to match the nature of the fundraising campaign!
If you have found a reward that interests you, click 'Select reward'.
PAYMENT TYPES
There are 2 types of payment methods you can use to pledge on projects:
Pay by card - Most major international credit or debit cards are accepted. Please make sure the bank card is registered to an address in the same country as your bank. For example, if pledging with a card connected to a French bank account, this account must also be registered to an address in France.
Pay by bank - You'll be redirected away from Crowdfunder to your bank's page, and then back to Crowdfunder once the payment is made. Please see this guide for further details.
If you are using a non-UK/EU card to pledge, your provider may charge a foreign transaction fee.
Gift Aid
If you are donating to a Charity or CASC project and they have enabled Gift Aid, you will be shown an option to add Gift Aid to your donation. This is done at no additional cost to you and means the project can claim an extra 25% on top of your donation.
FUNDS
Once you have completed the checkout page, click 'Pay now' to accept Crowdfunder's terms and conditions and process your payment.

The funds will be held by our third-party payment provider until the project closes.
Funds will only be transferred to the project owner if the project closes successfully. If the project is unsuccessful, your payment will be refunded within 7 working days of the project closing.
