When making a pledge or donation, you have the option to leave Crowdfunder a tip. You can choose how much or how little you give, or if you even want to tip at all!
Any tip added will not be deducted from the funds raised for the project; it is made directly to support Crowdfunder.
WHY DO WE GIVE YOU THE OPTION TO LEAVE US A TIP?
Our platform relies on the generosity of those who can contribute, providing tips to support our operations. Through voluntary tipping, we secure the means to cover our platform costs, ensuring ongoing functionality. This tipping mechanism empowers us to maintain and enhance our services, enabling the support of thousands of projects to make great things happen! Additionally, tipping has enabled us to eliminate platform fees for charities, as well as personal and not-for-profit causes.
Tipping is added by default when making a pledge, although users can customise or remove it as desired.
HOW CAN YOU CHANGE THE AMOUNT YOU WANT TO TIP?
On the pledge screen, you will find a tip slider that allows you to adjust the amount you would like to tip. This adjustment will be reflected in the amounts displayed.
HOW CAN YOU CHECK OUT WITHOUT LEAVING A TIP?
There is an option to select 'Enter custom amount' in the tip section of the summary box.
You can enter an amount in whole pounds or enter a ZERO (£0) to check out without leaving a tip.
PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK THE TOTAL TO PAY BEFORE CLICKING PROCESS PAYMENT SECURELY.
HOW CAN YOU REFUND A TIP YOU DIDN'T INTEND TO LEAVE?
